I am able to detect any other disk that I insert into my computer via the BIOS, just not my 1TB Western Digital HDD. Nothing is wrong with the HDD due to the fact that I can use it on any other computer. I do no t think tyhat the issue is OS related, because if it was then i'd be able to see it in the BIOS. The clock and date are both correct, thus telling me that the CMOS battery is still good. I turned off fastboot because I heard that helps... it didn't. Again, I can plug in "some" other HDD in the same spot and it will work, just not this one and a couple others.
it boots and says 'detecting drives... NONE FOUND!' i have tryed connecting to a different SATA port but still wont show up. i have tryed reinstalling windows but it wont get onto the installation... anyone know how to fix it??

The motherboard is an Asus M4A88TD-M/USB3 with AMD 880G Chipset and SB850 Southbridge. The hard drives are Samsung Spinpoint F3, Western Digital Caviar Green and, attached externally, a Seagate Desktop+.
Now ruling out the motherboard, and the hard drive, my guess is its got to be something connecting the 2. Faulty wires maybe? Or a middleman piece of hardware that I'm not aware of. Now to throw a curve ball at you, it won't access my bios, my diagnostics, or set up menus.

@Japster The PSU usually has 2 seperate sets of power cables (aka. 12v rails) to use for powering drives etc. If you are plugging a lot of things into one set of cables, you might be running out of power for your graphics card. Especially if you are using a 6 pin and an 8 pin from the same set of cables, whilst the other set of cables is doing nothing.
